All that looks at you
Joined together on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, the Superior council of audio-visual examined the requests for passage on the DVB free of LCI, Paris Première and Planète+ and decided not to book a favorable continuation to them. It publishes its justified decisions and the impact studies which prepared this decision.
The Council drew up the report 2013 of the respect by France Televisions of the obligations which appear in its specifications: the chains of the public group respected their quantitative obligations but certain efforts must be continued. At side, the Council wished presented a study on the cultural offer of the group.
Like each six-month period, the CSA publishes a series of key figures on audio-visual French: cover, equipment, duration of listening, share of audience, advertising market share, cost of grid, etc They cover the field of television, the radio and the new services: television of correction, video on demand, audio-visual on Internet.
The government bill for the equality men/women intends to entrust to the Council the mission of taking care of the image of the women in the audiovisual programmes, in particular while fighting against the stereotype sexists which can appear there. To conclude this mission, the CSA wished to make an objective study of the possible stereotypes conveyed in certain programs.
