Nicolas Curien

Engineer of the body of the Mines, Nicolas Curien is member of the CSA since 2015 and highly skilled Professor of the national Academy of arts and trades, where it occupied the pulpit “Economy and policy of telecommunications” of 1992 to 2011. He sat at the College of the Regulatory authority of the electronic communications and the stations of 2005 to 2011. Specialist in the digital economy, it taught at the Polytechnic school of 1985 to 2007 and he is founder member of the Academy of technologies.

  • Holder of the diploma of the Polytechnic school (1973) and Telecom Paris Tech (1975)
  • Holder of a thesis of doctor-engineer, university Paris VI (1976)
  • Teacher-researcher with Telecom Paris Tech (1976 – 1977)
  • Engineer-economist with the Head office of telecommunications of the ministry for the Postal and telecommunications services (1978 - 1987)
  • Operations manager near the Minister for National defense, then sub-manager of the economic studies to the Delegation being studied general of the ministry for National defense (1987 - 1989)
  • Director-assistant of the National school of the statistics and the economic administration – ENSAE (1989 - 1992)
  • Professor with the national Academy of arts and trades (CNAM), holder of the pulpit Economy and policy of telecommunications (1992 – 2005)
  • Member of the Regulatory authority of the electronic communications and the stations - ARCEP (2005 – 2011)
  • Professor emeritus with the CNAM, the interdisciplinary Laboratory in sciences of the action (2012-2014)
  • Researcher associated with the pulpit “Innovation & Regulation with the digital services” with the Polytechnic school (since 2013)
  • Founder member of the Academy of technologies (since 2000)
  • Member of the scientific advice of GDF-Suez (since 2010)
  • Member of the Superior council of audio-visual since January 2015.
