A transparent and open institution

Today, the Council counts nearly 300 collaborators in Paris placed under the authority of the president and the chief executive officer. The Council has an annual budget of approximately 39 million euros, which little more half is devoted to the personnel expenditure.

The sixteen territorial committees of audio-visual of metropolis and overseas, regional antennas of the Council, ensure the prolongation and the adaptation of its action local audio-visual realities.

The Council devotes a very detailed attention to the precise and explicit motivation of its decisions. In the respect of the principle of contradictory, those are adopted at the end of a meticulous instruction of the files, and often preceded by hearing by the organizations or companies concerned. He publishes an annual report addressed to the President of the Republic, to the Government and the Parliament, as well as other reports, periodicals or not, which are required of him.

Interface between the audio-visual mediums and the French, the Council corresponds regularly with the public, receiving each month several hundreds of emails, letters and phone calls. The secretariat of the college in particular ensures, near the chief executive officer, the preparation of the agendas of the plenary assemblies, working of the files of the meetings, the drafting of the official reports and the organization of hearings.
