The CSA was seized about the diffusion of a documentary entitled “At the slaughter-house” on the antenna of Tele Jar the night from January 13th to January 14th, 2017 at midnight. This documentary devoted to demolition comprised several sequences of setting with died of animals. It was not supplied with a descriptive youth.

Article 2 of the recommendation of June 7th, 2005 concerning the descriptive youth and the classification of the programs provides that classification of category III applies to the “ programs being able to disturb the 12 year old minors, in particular when the program resorts in a way repeated to physical violence or psychological ”.

Taking into account the repeated presence of bloody images and scenes of sticking visualized in depth, the Council estimated that this documentary was likely to disturb the 12 year old minors.

The CSA thus asked the chain to apply descriptive category III (“ disadvised with less than 12 years ”) in the event of repeat broadcast of this program.
