Clandestine publicity in the emission “C the Weekly”: intervention near France Televisions

The CSA was seized about the diffused emission C the Weekly magazine on Saturday, January 28, 2017 on France 5. During the fifteen first minutes of the emission, a brand of leather goods and clothing were visible on the back of the jacket of one of the columnists of the emission.

By ensuring the nonfortuitous exposure of the brand, this sequence contravened article 9 of the decree of March 27th, 1992 relating to publicity, sponsorship and the armchair shopping, which prohibits clandestine publicity.

The Council thus asked France Televisions to take care in the future of the respect of this regulation.
