On May 18th, 2016, chain NRJ 12 was firmly warning statement following the diffusion of several emissions of Mad Mag and the Angels of the reality TV which involved many complaints of televiewers deploring their great vulgarity and their sexism.

The CSA analyzed these programs with the glance in particular new provisions relating to the women's rights of article 3-1 of the law of September 30th, 1986.

Concerning the Angels of the reality TV, it raised several scenes carrying directly reached with the image of the women, in particular in the emissions of February 29th and of March 8th, 2016, because of remarks stereotyped and degrading.

Concerning Mad Mag, it raised the systematic presence of matter carrying directly reached with the image of the woman, in particular in the emissions by March 14th, April 4th and May 6th, 2016.

The raised sequences are in contradiction with the provisions of article 3-1 of the law of September 30th, 1986 and article 2-2-1 of the convention of NRJ 12.

The CSA also specified with the chain that, in a more general way, it worried highly about the tonality and the competences of the two emissions which result in supporting the diffusion of sequences, dialogues, images and postures likely to give a representation of the women marked by devaluing stereotypes, present throughout these two programs.

In addition, on June 8th, 2016, the CSA again intervened by a simple letter at NRJ 12 following the diffusion, on May 16th, 2016, of the emission the Angels of telereality 8 - Pacific Dream, which contained scenes of intimidation towards a candidate.

He drew the attention of the chain to his concern – joined in that by a growing number of televiewers – as regards contents of this emission largely followed by a young public. It called the chain with greatest vigilance as for, on the one hand, the ahead excessive setting of the spirit of exclusion and the conflicts violent one between candidates and, on the other hand, the image of the women who is conveyed there, in accordance with the stipulations of article 2-3-5 of its convention and article 3-1 of the law of September 30th, 1986. 

Under the stipulations of article 2-2-1 of the convention of NRJ 12, “ the editor is responsible for the contents of the emissions which it diffuses. It preserves in all circumstances the control of its antenna “. In order to ensure such a control, the CSA estimates that the chain must make the choice not to diffuse certain remarks or behaviors, since they are likely to contravene his obligations.

Lastly, it indicated to NRJ 12 qu ' such a production, resorting in a way repeated to behaviors impressed of in particular psychological violence, could involve in the event of reiteration a classification of the emission in programme of category III subjected to the obligations of the recommendation of June 7th, 2005.
