Deliberation n° 2016-20 of June 29th, 2016 of the Superior council of audio-visual relating to the period of appreciation of political pluralism in the services of radio and television

The Superior council of audio-visual, Considering the law n° 86-1067 of the modified September 30th, 1986 relating to the freedom from communication, in particular its articles 1st, 3-1 and 13; 

Considering the deliberation n° 2009-60 of the Superior council of audio-visual of July 21st, 2009 relating to the principle of political pluralism in the services of radio and television; 

Considering the deliberation n° 2013-7 of the Superior council of audio-visual of April 23rd, 2013 relating to the methods of the statement and transmission of times of intervention of the political personalities on the antennas of the services of radio and television; 

After having deliberated on it, 

Decide:   

Article 1   

For the six-month period beginning on August 1st, 2016 and finishing on January 31st, 2017, the Superior council of audio-visual carries out the appreciation of the respect of the principle of political pluralism on the whole of the newspapers, the news bulletins, the magazines and other emissions of the programs.  

Article 2   

The taking into account of the month of July 2016 takes place by addition to the 2nd quarter for the newspapers and news bulletins and to the 1st six-month period for the magazines and the other emissions of the programs.  

Article 3   

The editors record and transmit to the Council the relative data to times of intervention of the political personalities according to the conditions, in particular of periodicity and format, which it determines. For the period from August 1st to August 31st, 2016 , the data will be transmitted to the Council on September 5th, 2016.  

Article 4   

The present deliberation will be published in the Journal officiel de la République française.
