Publication date: Wednesday, April 13, 2016
Plenary assembly of March 9th, 2016

The CSA was seized by a company of import-export established on the island of Wallis about a report entitled Communions – Period ostentation for the trade, diffused in the newspaper of Wallis and Futuna 1st on October 3rd, 2015. This company considered that the diffusion of a sequence treating of promotional operations of a large surface was contrary with the applicable regulations as regards clandestine publicity.

After analysis of the report, the Council considered that this report took on a promotional dimension in favour of a sign of the large distribution of the island, in which it was entirely turned. It also estimated that the presence attends logo of this sign, in particular on promotional supports, and the remarks made on various services offered at the time of special promotions, contributed to develop this establishment.

Consequently, the CSA asked the company France Televisions to better take care, in the future, with the observance of the advertising regulation and the plaintiff informed some.
