Presidency of France Media World: procedure of nomination

The Superior council of audio-visual published this day a resolution relating to the conditions of nomination to the presidency of France Media World. This resolution makes following the letter of the President of the High ranking authority for the Transparency of the Public life dated February 12th, 2018 and communicated to the Council on February 13th, 2018, indicating that the nomination of Mrs Marie-Christine Saragosse to the presidency of France Media World is worthless full.


The candidatures will be received with the seat of the Council, starting from February 22nd, 2018 and until March 23rd, 2018, by mail or deposit. The Council will proceed to the opening of the envelopes on March 28th, 2018 and will draw up at the latest on April 11th, 2018 the list of the auditioned candidates. Hearings will take place during the week from April 16th to April 20th, 2018 and the Council will name the President or the President of France Media World at the latest on April 21st, 2018.


The announcement of candidacy will be able to understand, in addition to the strategic project, all documents attesting of the competence and the experiment of the candidate or the candidate. Hearings will consist of one hour maximum of presentation by the candidate or the candidate and an hour of exchanges with the College of the CSA. The Council will come to a conclusion in the majority of the members who compose it, and with secret bulletins, about the choice of the person retained for the Presidency.

Rules of publicity 

The list of the admissible candidatures will be published thus that the strategic projects relative to these candidatures. The list of the candidates selected for hearing will be also made public. The first part of the hearing devoted to the presentation will be accessible in video on the site from the Council and the second will take place behind closed doors taking into account the decision of the Constitutional council of July 27th, 2000. Lastly, the Council will justify its decision at the conclusion of the procedure.
